Pizza tradicional romana e os melhores destaques da cidade à noite

Friday in Rome ended with a stop at Pinsere for a quick pinsa, the traditional roman pizza, before meeting my husband at the station. Later, we visited key sights of Rome starting with the Trevi Fountain, Piazza Venezia, Foro Traiano and ending with the iconic Colosseum. We wrapped up the day with drinks at Bar do’Brasil before heading back to the Aquarius Inn.

Diabo, rei, teatro e pirâmide em Roma

When the conference had finished, I moved from the Quirinale Hotel to the Aquarius Inn guesthouse, where the owner gave me tons of ideas and tips to explore the city. I spent the afternoon exploring so many places, especially around the Monumento a Vittorio Emanuele II, my favourite area of Rome. After visiting the Orange Garden and the Piramide di Cestio, it was finally time to return to the city and try the famous and truly delicious pistachio croissant at L’Antico Forno di Fontana di Trevi.

Jardins da Villa Borghese, miradouros e as delícias de Itália

Second evening exploring Rome before the trip truly began. I spent time around the Basilica di Santa Maria degli Angeli e dei Martiri, a church born from a prophetic vision. Afterwards, I wandered through the Villa Borghese gardens, where every corner reveals a fountain, sculpture, or statue. Definitely a place to include in any Rome itinerary.

Fonte Trevi, escadarias da Praça de Espanha e mais igrejas em Roma

On the second day, I spent the afternoon visiting the famous Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. On the way, I visited more churches in Rome, such as the Chiesa dei Santi Vicenzo e Anastasio a Trevi and the Chiesa della Trinità dei Monti. I must confess that I loved Rome under the city lights when the sun had completely set — those historic buildings and details under the lights add another layer of splendour.

Igrejas, pizza e Roma à noite

By the end of my first day in Rome, I still had time to visit two churches: the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli, famous for Michelangelo’s statue of Moisés, and the Chiesa di Santa Maria ai Monti, an absolutely beautiful church.

Dinner had to be pizza, and the most recommended restaurant was Mariuccia — good food, good atmosphere, and good company. The perfect way to end my first day in Rome.

As primeiras igrejas de Roma acompanhadas por maritozzo

This post is about my first few hours in Rome, which began with a visit to two beautiful churches: Chiesa di San Bernardo alle Terme and Chiesa di Santa Maria della Vittoria. After that, I could finally try the traditional pastry, maritozzo. The exploration continued, and by chance I found myself enjoying the most beautiful panoramic view of the iconic Colosseum.

A oportunidade de conhecer Roma

This is the first post about our trip to Rome. This one was a little different, as it mixed work and leisure. But what mattered most was the opportunity to visit Rome, which wasn’t in our plans. An amazing city, a place that made me feel overwhelmed, as Rome is the true meaning of an open‑air museum. This post is about how to get ready to make the most of a trip to this city.
