We spent our first day in Marseille exploring its historic heart including the cathedral, the old port and the Château d’If, once a prison between 1541 and 1945. We ended the day at Plage des Catalans before unwinding with a drink in a cosy Irish pub.

Parque nacional de Durmitor (parte II)
This post is about a scenic route around Durmitor National Park — the canyon, the mountains, the small villages — all of it gave us breathtaking views. There’s nothing like the golden light of sunset setting the mountains on fire. And of course, we had to try the zipline across the Tara Canyon, the highest in Europe and the second highest in the world. Talk about adrenaline, right?

The first stop in Durmitor National Park was Žabljak, the main town of the area, where we stayed for two nights. In Durmitor we found a very traditional restaurant with delicious food and even a place to have burek for breakfast. Mosteiro de Ostrog e visita a diferentes lagos
Ostrog Monastery is one of the best‑known places in Montenegro and an important relic of the Orthodox faith. The buildings look as if they’ve grown straight out of the rock. A visit to this monastery is almost mandatory, even for those who aren’t religious. And because it was a long drive from Perast, we broke up the trip with stops at Slansko Lake and later at Devil’s Lake.

Perast is a coastal village near Kotor. The most popular activity is, without doubt, the boat trip to the Our Lady of the Rocks island, a place that stands as a Catholic symbol of the region.
