Um dia a conhecer Aix-en-Provence

Aix-en-Provence is the largest city in the Provence region and is known as the City of a Thousand Fountains. We visited churches, fountains, and even a cemetery where the famous painter Paul Cézanne is buried. We ended our visit with pizza and a cold drink to cope with the day’s high temperatures. Discover how to spend a day in the city and where to find ideas for things to do in the region.

A explorar Marselha: Palais Longchamp e igrejas históricas

Second day of our trip to Marseille. The hot weather could be felt from the early hours of the morning, but before giving up and heading to Cassis, we visited the beautiful Palais Longchamp and the church Les Réformés, with its tall entrance towers and stunning stained‑glass windows. At the end of the morning, we visited one of the most famous places in Marseille, the basilique Notre‑Dame de la Garde.

Locais históricos em Marselha: catedral, porto e castelo

We spent our first day in Marseille exploring its historic heart including the cathedral, the old port and the Château d’If, once a prison between 1541 and 1945. We ended the day at Plage des Catalans before unwinding with a drink in a cosy Irish pub.
