On our second day exploring the North York Moors, we completed two trails to see two waterfalls: Falling Foss and Mallyan Spout. Later that day, we visited the villages of Goathland and Grosmont to see the historic steam train in action. This day ended with the most delicious meal.

The North York Moors are a treasure of nature trails. On this day, we explored two of them: the Hole of Horcum and Dalby Forest. After covering miles on foot, it was time to visit Thornton-le-Dale and treat ourselves to something sweet. And of course we had to go and check out the Tulip Fields in Hertfordshire as it was less than 15 minutes from our house. An afternoon of food, live music and many, many beautiful flowers. Without realising it, this post touches on the part of the trip we enjoyed the least — even though the pizza we had in Piè Falcade was absolutely delicious! Every trip has its highs and lows, and it’s often in sharing those honest experiences that we learn from each travel.

Trilho em San Cassiano, Dolomitas
Before leaving San Cassiano we decided to do a trail in the area. And even though we got rain, dark clouds and wind, the landscape was breathtaking! In the end of the day we had dinner at La Tor, a restaurant we enjoyed a lot. And these were the last few hours before checking-out and leaving San Cassiano behind. All the details in this post.
