Perast is a coastal village near Kotor. The most popular activity is, without doubt, the boat trip to the Our Lady of the Rocks island, a place that stands as a Catholic symbol of the region. We also had to try the Perast cake which is more like an almond tart full of flavour. All the details about what to do and where to eat in Perast are now available

Em Montenegro: mausoléu de Njegoš em Lovćen e o pôr do sol em Budva
This was our second attempt to visit the Njegoš mausoleum after leaving Kotor behind. Even though a dense fog had settled over the mountain, the mausoleum was open. And, on that day, it was free to enter due to the weather conditions. For me, the fog only added to the experience, deepening the sense of austerity. Later on we visited Budva at sunset, and it was just beautiful
Kotor (parte 2): fortaleza, catedral e um doce final
Climbing the fortress and soaking in those sweeping views was the perfect way to open the day in Kotor. It only got better from there: a visit to the cathedral, a sweet breakfast, and a slow wander along the city walls, joined by Kotor’s many resident cats. All the details are in the post.

Itinerário em Montenegro: Sveti Stefan, Cetinje e a chegada a Kotor
Rain soaked most of our second day in Montenegro, so it wasn’t the highlight of the trip. Still, we visited Sveti Stefan, Praskvica Monastery, and Cetinje, and tackled the winding Kotor serpentine to see why it’s such a challenge. All the details from Bar to Kotor are now up.
Experiência gastronómica e cultural em Bar, Montenegro
Bar was where we spent the second night of the trip. We had delicious food for both dinner and breakfast, a perfect introduction to Montenegro’s traditional gastronomy. We also visited the beautiful Orthodox church of St. Jovan Vladimir. Now see how you can add Bar to your itinerary.
A ruínas da cidade velha de Stari Bar e chegada a Bar
After leaving Lake Skadar, we explored the amazingly well‑preserved ruins of Stari Bar — genuinely stunning. Then came the chaos: a coffee shop encounter with a slightly unhinged, very rude pomegranate super‑fan who took Montenegrin fruit way too seriously. We wrapped the day with check‑in at our place in Bar, the cheapest stay of the whole trip. All the details now available!
Roteiro de viagem em Montenegro: Podgorica e Lago Skadar
In this post, we talk about the first part of our first day in Montenegro. After a Mediterranean breakfast and a sour experience with the car rental company, we spent the following hours exploring different areas of Lake Skadar and delighting in the beautiful landscapes.
