On the second day, I spent the afternoon visiting the famous Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. On the way, I visited more churches in Rome, such as the Chiesa dei Santi Vicenzo e Anastasio a Trevi and the Chiesa della Trinità dei Monti. I must confess that I loved Rome under the city lights when the sun had completely set — those historic buildings and details under the lights add another layer of splendour By the end of my first day in Rome, I still had time to visit two churches: the Basilica di San Pietro in Vincoli, famous for Michelangelo’s statue of Moisés, and the Chiesa di Santa Maria ai Monti, an absolutely beautiful church. Dinner had to be pizza, and the most recommended restaurant was Mariuccia — good food, good atmosphere, and good company. The perfect way to end my first day in Rome.... At the end of the day, after spending the afternoon swimming and bathing, we had the most relaxed meal at the L'Oli Bé restaurant. Cassis, a small village in the south of France near Marseille, was one of the most beautiful places we visited on this trip. We also had an absolutely amazing sunset on our way back to Marseille, followed by a gastronomic experience which included the famous local fish soup, Bouillabaisse.... The hot weather could be felt from the early hours of the morning, but before giving up and heading to Cassis, we visited the beautiful Palais Longchamp and the church Les Réformés, with its tall entrance towers and stunning stained‑glass windows. At the end of the morning, we visited one of the most famous places in Marseille, the basilique Notre‑Dame de la Garde....
