Today we’re talking about Podgorica, including the Niagara Falls (yes, that’s right), Gorica Park, the Millennium Bridge, and the Temple of the Resurrection of Christ. It turns out Podgorica isn’t as boring as its reputation suggests. Prokletije national park This post is about a scenic route around Durmitor National Park — the canyon, the mountains, the small villages — all of it gave us breathtaking views. There’s nothing like the golden light of sunset setting the mountains on fire. And of course, we had to try the zipline across the Tara Canyon, the highest in Europe and the second highest in the world. Talk about adrenaline, right? DURMITOR NATIONAL PARK (PART I) Ostrog Monastery is one of the best‑known places in Montenegro and an important relic of the Orthodox faith. The buildings look as if they’ve grown straight out of the rock. A visit to this monastery is almost mandatory, even for those who aren’t religious. And because it was a long drive from Perast, we broke up the trip with stops at Slansko Lake and later at Devil’s Lake...all details now available Perast is a coastal village near Kotor. The most popular activity is, without doubt, the boat trip to the Our Lady of the Rocks island, a place that stands as a Catholic symbol of the region. We also had to try the Perast cake which is more like an almond tart full of flavour. All the details about what to do and where to eat in Perast are now available on our blog
